Trust in the Lord... That is All I Can do!!

So this weekend has been full of debating decisions. From deciding what major to go into when I get to UNM to figuring out my social life haha :) But it isn't all bad, just overwhelming I guess you could say.

But, with all of this debate going on in my head, I have had time to turn to God and see what He says. And, man oh man, does he know when to say the right thing.

Last night, I was reading a book called I Kissed Dating Goodbye (which is an EXCELLENT book about dating as a Christian) and came across a chapter that was all about trusting in God.

A passage from it read:
"Do you believe that God knows best? Then place your life's calendar at His feet and allow Him to handle the scheduling of your relationships. Trust Him even if it means not dating when other people think you should. When God knows you're ready for the responsibility of commitment, He'll reveal the right person under the right circumstances.

'For I know the plans I have for you,' God says, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.' (Jeremiah 29:11). Let's live our todays for His kingdom and entrust our tomorrows to His providence.

We couldn't lay our futures in better hands. All we have to do is trust."

After I read this, I couldn't help but let out sigh of relief and know that I am not alone in any situation or decision I have to make in my life. God is always by my side.

I also just started reading a book that a dear friend of mine, Susan, gave me :) It is called Le Me be a Woman by Elisabeth Elliot and I am so excited to see how I should live as a woman of God.

What do y'all think about trusting in God in hard times? What are ways to never forget it??

Love y'all

A Big, Long Update

Hey y'all.

So I know I am a terrible person and have not written in my blog since, oh I don't even know when! But I am now. :)

A lot has happened since I last wrote. From classes to birthdays, to car problems, and to transfers, this month has been insane.

Classes have been good so far :) No complaints on grades or the actual classes, except my chemistry class where my teacher still can't teach the material and would rather talk about herself instead. But I guess some people are just like that. I have been back and forth on whether or not mechanical engineering is right for me or not. At this point I'm sort of leaning away from the aerospace field and more toward something like biomedical engineering. How awesome would it be to create some kind of machine that helps people in the hospital to get better or that would help the doctors do a certain operation without causing the patient too much pain during recovery?? What do y'all think?

Along the lines of school, I am transferring schools this coming spring semester. UNM HERE I COME! I am so excited. Tech is great but it just isn't right for me. The classes aren't bad, as I said, but the atmosphere is all wrong. I don't feel happy here and I'm never wanting to go out and do things, which just isn't me. I would love to go to a big movie night or go to Starbucks and get coffee with my buddies but considering there is one theater in town that has ONE screen and NO Starbucks (sad...), it is really hard to do that. So I am transferring to UNM :) This week has been full of contacting my old high school to get my transcript sent and calling UNM to get my many questions answered. It will all be worth it when I get to come back home and stay. Dions, I'm coming back too! I will be so happy to work with my fellow Dions people again! :)

Another good note, my car is out of the shop!! :) There was some kind of sensor problem, with the speed sensor and some other sensor (I'm not sure which one), and connection problems between the sensors and the computer. But it is all fixed now :) My mom had to bring me back to Socorro last Sunday and Caleb is coming to pick me up and take me back to ABQ on Friday. Thank you guys for your help!! I love you both! :)

And last but not least, so many birthdays that have happened in the last month! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GILBERT! 3-0 brother. You're old. Just kidding!
I love this family. I can't wait to see y'all in December!
