The Lucky One

What a great movie! :) I had so much fun seeing it with my two best friends.


When the movie ended, Bailey and Kaitlyn were talking about their boyfriends and telling stories about each of them and it made me think how badly I want to be someone's "lucky one" and fall in love. I know God has that special someone out there for me somewhere but there are some days that I just feel it in my heart that I don't have anyone who will physically wrap me in their arms and be there for me always.


I know it is strange for me to talk about this on a blog but it's just how I am feeling. I want that special someone and I have a fear that I will never find him. 


I don't know why I am feeling this way but I just pray that God brings him into my life. I pray that he will be an amazing Christian and someone I can lean upon when my faith is going downhill, someone who will help me pick it back up.


God,
I pray that you have an amazing man out there for me somewhere. That he will love You more than anyone else on this planet and will honor you in everything he does. I pray that he will be my "lucky one" and that we can praise you together for the rest of our lives. I love You and I want him to love You more. Please, God, lead me to him. Let me be someone's girl, if it is your will!!
Amen!!


Well I am off to bed so that I can get up and maybe get some homework done before church tomorrow. I am working at the bookstore in the morning which should be great! :)

Winding Down

It is so bizarre that I only have about 3 weeks of my second semester of college left. CRAZINESS... but that also means finals are coming up quickly :( that is sadness. 


These past few weeks have been interesting, to say the least. I have been working, studying, going to class, and hanging out with Bailey and Kaitlyn (like always). I will be so glad when the summer finally comes and I can take some time to relax before jumping into next semester.


Now to the good stuff. Remember that guy I told you about last time, the one Bailey was trying to set me up with? Well nothing is coming from it other than maybe another friend in town. I thought I was ready for another relationship, but, in reality, I really wasn't. Plus he wasn't a Christian and, when I invited him to church, he wasn't even willing to try. No biggy. I'm just going to wait for God to bring the right guy to me; I know he is out there somewhere! :) 


About school... I have finally figured out what my dream is and what I am called to do. I have officially switched my major to Biology with a minor in Chemistry, which will hopefully lead me to MEDICAL SCHOOL where I can work my butt of to work in the wonderful field of ONCOLOGY! :) I am so excited!!

My life is pretty simple right now. Nothing major to worry about and nothing major going on. I am very happy though :D

Fun Stuff (aka Nicholas Sparks)

Saturday, Bailey, Kaitlyn, and I are going to see The Lucky One with Zac Efron. Needless to say, I am sooooo excited. It is one of my favorite books and I cannot wait to see what they do with the movie :)

YAY!! :)

Another really good book by Nicholas Sparks is his newest one called The Best of Me. Oh my goodness, I finished this book last week and I could not stop smiling the entire time I was reading it. It is definitely a great book to read if you are looking for one. 

And now I am reading another Nicholas Sparks book called True Believer. We'll see how it is. So far so good :)

Just A Little Update

So it has been a while, again. 

The Melting Pot

Last Friday was a blast! Kaitlyn, Bailey, and I got dressed up together and had a girls date at The Melting Pot. I was so excited that I finally got to wear the dress that my aunt bought me for my birthday :)

At The Melting Pot, we had some DELICIOUS Spinach Artichoke Cheese Dip and Flaming Turtle chocolate dessert. Oh my goodness, my mouth is watering just thinking about it!

See why is it called the Flaming Turtle?? :)

After we finished eating way too much food, we decided to take a walk around Uptown. We went into the Apple store and had some fun taking pictures on the computer and we went to Anthropologie and looked at some really cute clothes that were WAY too expensive for any of us to buy (a skirt was cost $10 less than Kaitlyn's paycheck for 2 weeks worth of work) :O

After the shopping was done, we went back to my house and laughed hysterically as we watched a Gabriel Iglesias comedy show! :) Oh my gosh, you have to watch this if you haven't! It is so funny!

Someone New

During our girls date on Friday, Bailey talked to me about meeting someone that her boyfriend works with since I'm the only single girl out of the 3 of us. I thought, What the heck, it wouldn't hurt to meet someone new. So I did.

Saturday came around and I met Shane for the first time. He is a great guy and I look forward to getting to know him. I don't know where it will go or what will happen but I'm not thinking about that. He is from Ohio and came here to work at Sandia Labs so he is interesting to talk to. 

Tonight, Shane, Bailey, Bobby (Bailey's boyfriend), and I are meeting Kaitlyn for dinner and then we are going to see the TITANIC in 3D!! :) I am so excited! :)

We'll see what happens.
