Christmas and Introducing 2013

Well it has been an extremely busy break so far. As I mentioned before, I got a job at Starbucks so within the first 4 days of a break from school I quit my job at Dion's and became a barista. It has been so much fun and I am loving every moment of it! Not only do I get to be around coffee all day long, I also get to work with some really close friends (like Cayce and Kaylee) while also making so many more. I am really excited to continue my journey as a Starbucks partner! :) 

After working for a week at Starbucks, it was time to take a break and spend a couple days off with my family while we celebrated the birth of our Lord and Savior. It was a great Christmas. Not only did I get some amazing gifts, such as a Kindle and some spankin' new boots, I also got to spend it with the people I love the most. My mom, sister, aunt, and grandpa have been such a blessing and I thank God for them each and every day! :) I definitely had a lot to be thankful for this holiday season!

I also got to spend some time with the girls! :) Kim, Kelley, Kaitlyn, and Sarah are such good friends and I have really enjoyed spending time with them and growing closer and closer to them. What started as a lunch group became a great friendship between the 5 of us. A couple weeks ago, we got to spend some time together and do some fun things. First, we had a Secret Santa dinner at Bravo and then we came back to my house, decorated cookies, and watched The Holiday (oh how I love Jude Law!). It was such a fun night and a great way to start off the Christmas season. 

Just a couple days after our night out, we took a day and relaxed together. We went to Kim's house, made apple cider, watched Pitch Perfect, and ran all over town buying last minute gifts and finding a movie for my mom! :) It was such a blast and I love these girls to death! If any of you are reading this, you are such a blessing to me and I am so thankful to be able to call you my dear, dear friends! :D

Finally, it is no longer 2012 and may I say that I am not sad to see it go. As all years, it had its downs, but it was also a great year. I got to come home from NMT, start my journey to become a doctor (and hopefully a surgeon), make some great friends, go back to Texas, go to Chicago, try new things, and so many more things. I am excited for this new year and I am hoping 2013 is full of new experiences and new blessings. I cannot wait to see what God has in store for me this year! :)
